About Us

My birthplace, Thailand, is home to over 40 different types of bamboo plants, some growing over sixty feet in height. Their ability to bud is as impressive as their size; did you know that some bamboos can grow over three feet in just under a day?

Bamboo plants are considered the "life plants" of my country, and their stems are used for anything from furniture and scaffolding, to construction and craftwork. My love for sustainable bamboo isn't only deeply-rooted in the fact they grow all over my homeland; I also come from a family of woodworkers. The US has been my home for many years now, but my mother and father still live a simple life at the foot of a mountain in Mae Tang, Thailand, surrounded by bamboos and stretches of rice fields. There, they spend their days carving wood and bamboo for temples, homes, and local businesses.
